Ludlum Model 375NET-32 Area Monitoring System
The
Ludlum Model 375 Network Software
allows a PC equipped with multiple serial ports to monitor up to a
quantity of 32 Ludlum Model
375 Digital Area Monitors. Data, containing radiation levels and status,
can be logged to a file at user-specified intervals. E-mail or pager
messages can be sent out during alarm and/or failure conditions. Data can
be displayed in a grid, a graph, or in a map view. Data is saved to a
Microsoft Access database and to an ASCII file if desired. Queries can be
made, for example, to locate alarms over the past week. The use of this
software and versatile area monitors creates a very powerful yet
inexpensive system.
CONNECTION: When only 1 or 2 units are
connected, they can be connected directly to the PC COM ports. When 3 or
more units are connected it is suggested that connection be done through
the USB port via a USB to RS-232 converter.
COMMUNICATION: The Model 375 outputs data every 2 seconds and the
software displays the data and logs the average readings to a database at
user specified intervals.
DISPLAY: The main screen displays the 32 channels and the status of
each channel. Below each channel are 2 indicators that show when data is
received from the Model 375 and when the data is logged. The background of
each channel indicates the status of the Model 375.
DATA LOGGING: Each channel can be independently logged at user
specified intervals. There is the ability to log data when the reading
exceeds a user-defined value. The database stores the channel name, date,
time, reading, status, and a user defined comment. The data can be viewed
from within the program or in Microsoft Access.
GRID/GRAPH VIEW: The current or logged data can be viewed in a
graph or data grid. It is possible to query the data by date, time,
reading, or status.
MAP VIEW: Each channel can have a user-defined name. There is also
a user-defined comment field available for each channel. A bitmap image
can be imported in and used as a location map. A built in editor allows
for individual placement of the channels on this map. The map can be
scaled to 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100% size.
E-MAIL SUPPORT: When an alert, alarm, or error event occurs, the
software will send an e-mail to 8 user-defined e-mail addresses. There are
8 e-mail addresses for alarm/alert conditions and 8 e-mail addresses for
other conditions (overload, detector fail, off-line, error). It is also
possible to specify a time range for sending e-mails so that, for example,
during working hours the e-mail goes to 1 set of addresses and then at
night goes to another set of e-mail addresses.
COMPUTER:A Windows-based PC with multiple serial ports is required.
LMI will provide interface computers and/or a complete turnkey computer
solution on request.
