PTW radiation dosimetry

CTDI Set for CT Dosimetry

The CTDI body phantom is 32 cm diameter, and head phantom is 16 cm diameter. Both acrylic cylinders are 15 cm height. The CT probe is inserted for measurements into one of five holes of the head or body phantom, which represent the body part to be CT scanned. Holes not used are filled by acrylic dummy plugs, and a support keeps the phantom in its position on the CT couch. Etched crosshairs on the phantoms allow exact alignment. The CT chamber can be supplied by a BNT or TNC or PTW-M connector for operation in connection with a UNIDOS E dosemeter. The NOMEX and the DIADOS dosemeters require an M connector. Only the DIADOS requires an optional HV adapter. The measuring quantity is dose length product in Gy·m.
