The internal pancake GM tube with a sliding protective shield and
external gamma scintillation probe is an ideal choice for
general laboratory and health physics survey meter for I-125, gamma,
x-ray, alpha, and beta radiation detection. The four LINEAR ranges are:
0-500, 5000, 50,000, and 500,000 cpm, and 0-0.15, 1.5, 15, and 150
mR/hr. The probe holder is designed to position the external probe so
that both the pancake or scintillation probe, depending on choice of
probe selection switch, can be used with one hand. This low cost system
is half the weight and costs less than similar systems. A sliding
shield protects pancake detector when not in use. Cable and NIST traceable calibration are standard.
