The Inspector radiation detector features an internal GM detector and is microprocessor controlled. The survey meter is a general purpose G-M counter for alpha, beta, gamma and x-rays. The digital display, red count light and audible beep, provide instant indications of the radiation level. Other features include scaler function, an adjustable timer, and external calibration controls.
General Use includes: emergency response personnel, laboratory technician, industrial, x-ray technician, radiographer, industrial hygienist, safety manager, equipment service and maintenance technician, radiation safety officer, general public, and geologist.
Common Applications include: gross wipe counting, surveying for NORM* contamination, contamination surveys of packages, equipment, people, etc., regulatory inspections, low energy radio nuclide detection.
* Naturally Occurring Radioactive Material
Our radiation detectors are new and up-to date. Included is a fresh calibration and warranty. Some vendors sell older versions with expired calibration and warranty. The meters are warranted for one year and the tubes are warranted for 90 days. We provide unlimited technical assistance via phone. To whatever vendor you choose, always ask about warranty, calibration, and technical assistance. Also, tell them your application to confirm that you are buying the appropriate survey meter.

Inspector+ (Internal tube): Halogen-quenched, uncompensated GM tube with thin mica window, 1.4-2.0
mg/cm2 area density.
Effective diameter of window is 45 mm (1.75 in.).
Radiation symbol on front label marks the center of the detector.
Display 4 digit liquid crystal display with indicators.
Averaging Periods Display will update every 3 seconds. At low background levels, the update is the moving average for the past 30-second time period. The timed period for the moving average decreases as the radiation level increases

The stainless steel Wipe Test Plate slides easily onto the Inspector+ positioning the depression and wipe directly in front of the GM tube window at a fixed distance of 1 centimeter. The Wipe Test plate is removable for general surveying or decontamination. It can also be used for protecting the GM from damage and the instrument from being contaminated while the Inspector is not in use.
